Hard to believe it's been over 8 years since i last touched this site. Which raises the question, why now?
It's simple really. As of this fall I am a student at the University of Skovde in Sweden, and pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology. My field of study? Game Development - Programming.

What does this mean for this website? It means I hope to actually start updating this site a bit more over time, giving people an insight into my studies and projects, and hopefully filling out my portfolio some more in the process. And to kick it all off, I'll start with sharing this clip from a sound test did for a game i made, that was part of an assignment in the course "Game Programming 1".

Wow, I have left this website unattended for waaay too long.
A bit ironic when you think about my last news update, but life is unpredictable and one does not always have the time or mind to do what one has planned.
In more interesting news...
After many years I decided to revisit my CannonFX mod for the Pirates of the Caribbean Build Mod(which is today known as Pirates of the Caribbean: New Horizons.
Its a rather extensive rework that is much more refined and realistic and now also has multiple settings allowing it to scale from low end to high end systems.
Here you can catch a little glimpse of my recent work, Enjoy! :)

"Its time to kickass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of gum"... Well ok maybe thats a bit much.
But I do think I should get around to updating my sites more often. Just routine stuff this time, a copyright notice there, my age etc
However I have upated my 2D Artwork section with new content, not much, but its something. ;)

I know I have been really bad with updates, but I have been quite busy with life and with modding.
In the past month I have started a revolution in the Star Trek Legacy modding community with my Shader mods. Version 1.0 hit the scene some weeks ago and was the most downloaded file of the week and reached 300 downloads in the first week.

Since then other major mod projects such as the famed Ultimate Universe mod have been inspired and started implementing shaders 3.0 support in their mods as well. And wouldn't you believe it, I'm getting credit for it too.
Ultimate Universe News
Version 1.0 of my shader mod for Star Trek Legacy can be found here: SM 3.0 shaders for Star Trek Legacy

In other large news, Keys of Legacy + which I announced in April is finally nearing completion and is being greatly anticipated by the Legacy gaming community. I can only hope that the hype that has built around this mod will not disappoint them.

I'm also looking at a possible overhaul of the site soon. The mod pages definitely need to be updated with all the new mod projects and updates I've done to them.
Thats it for this time.

Here we go again, been a couple of weeks since the last update.
In my last update I showed a preview of my map project Yrrebodan. Well it was released a couple of weeks ago on stlegacyfiles.com and received very good feedback.

A week or so later I started work on a Shader Model 3.0 mod for Star Trek Legacy. Natively the game only supports a mix of Shader Model 2.0 and 1.1, but with this mod i have modified the shaders to utilize Shader Model 3.0, as a result considerably increasing visual quality of the game. The latest version, "beta 2" has been downloaded over a 100 times in less than a week.

My latest project I currently have going is a major one. I have started work on "Key's of Legacy +", and it is very similar to the standard Keys of Legacy series I have displayed on my site but with one major difference. I have decided to throw away my policy on compatibility with vanilla patch 1.2 multiplayer, meaning that other players must have a copy of the modification installed in order to play with one another. Because of this there is so much more that I can do that i was not able to do before, such as modifying ships, graphics, control files, scripts, ect ect.
I would go into more detail, but there is just so much that has been done, but I have been posting constant updates on one of the Star Trek Gaming community forums, so for more information please visit this link:

Well I have been a bit busy in the last few months, trying to find work amongst other things. But enough of me, its time I gave an exclusive sneak preview of my current project I've been working on for the nEw-GEN mod team ;)

So this is what I have been working on, my new map for Star Trek: Legacy. I seem to have a thing for multiple stars so unlike my previous binary star system this map has three... count them, three stars, making it a trinary star system.

As you can see here on the second screenshot it also has a gas giant with a fully developed ring system, which currently to my knowledge is unique to Star Trek Legacy mapping.
The map is scheduled to be released in a few days, so to you PC Legacy players out there, stay tuned!

Time flies and a new year soon here, and only a matter of months until this site has been up for a year.

Since a couple of weeks ago I can now let it be known that I was a closed beta tester of the upcoming MMORPG "Pirates of the Burning Sea", now that the NDA has finally been lifted. It's been a real pleasure testing the game and assisting with bug finding as well as loads of fun, except when there were major bugs that had to be reported. I'm pretty confident that Pirates will do well for itself as a unique MMO when it hits the market in January.

I also have not been idle on the modding scene either, a few weeks ago I released my first map for Star Trek: Legacy. A binary star system called Terrokan, which has received nothing but excellent reviews and a top rating at STLegacyfiles.com. This map has also led to me having been recruited into the "nEw-GEN" mod team as a mapper.
Their latest release came on Monday of this week in the form of a major mod called "Trek Battles II" which can also be found at STLegacyfiles.com

As a final note on modding, version 1.3 of my mod "Keys of Legacy" is nearing completion and is now in its final testing phase before release.
That is all for this time except for an update on my "Maps" page and a small gallery here of my "Pirates of the Burning Seas" beta experience.

It has been a few months since the last update, but rest assured I have not abandoned this site.
I have uploaded another item to the 2D art section, other than that I'm still busy searching for employment.

Some good news, The mod "Kobayashi Maru 1.0" for "Star Trek: Bridge Commander" has now been released and now includes my quantum torpedo on the Sovereign class ship. I have also taken and added a new small section to the "mod projects" page about "Particle Beams".
Other than that not too much has happened around here except that I am rather busy right now trying to find work.

Not much to report I'm afraid, my monitor broke down so right now I am on a temporary one which does not have too good colors, so I will not be able to work on any of my visuals for the time being
On a lighter note "Keys of Legacy 1.2" has now surpassed 1000 downloads

And so it is a new month, Ive added a new piece to the "2D Artwork" section today.
In other news I just went and checked over the user content section of "Pirates of the Burning Sea" and it seems that my "Swedish east India company" flag has been approved with a rating of 4 of 5 stars. There also seems to be some increase in activity around Star Trek Legacy, as I noticed theres been quite a number of more downloads lately for version 1.2 and its getting close to reaching the 1000 downloads mark.

Well well well, its been a couple of weeks now hasent it? high time for an update I think.
So what have I been up to during the past couple of weeks? Well I've just brought the new screen shots page online where visitors can indulge in my Screen shot artwork so do take a moment to stop in. ;)
In other news I've just launched my "Keys of Legacy" page over at moddb.com this week.

Thought I should give a heads up, I have updated the "Pirates of the Caribbean - Build Mod" section on the "Mod Projects" page to reflect my latest work on it. Since I'm in the mood and have been playing PoTC I decided to replace most of the old screenshots with brand fresh new ones which are actual shots of playing the game normally and not set up.

Site is still under construction, I have been very busy with my studies and gaming community involvement.
I have however been doing some this week modding for "Pirates of the Caribbean Community Build Mod", specifically I have been working on redoing the games flags in higher quality and realism.
Heres a few screenshots ;)

No risk of that, I thought I should announce another addition to the maps page.
Enjoy.

Monday, March 26th 2007

All right dear visitors, I have made an addition to the "Mods" page and I have also now launched the new "2D Artwork" page.
Not much on it right now but there will be more soon hopefully.

Tuesday, March 20th 2007

Well it struck my mind, that how would people know if there was anything new if they just checked back quickly on the main page? So I thought it might be a good idea to announce updates on the site from now on. Other than this update right here I have added a couple of items in the "Models" section, a new GeForce 7800GS Work In progress and a shot of a high polygon version of my Gotland Class submarine model that I am working on. I also hope to soon be ready to update the maps page with another of my creations ;)
